Found something wrong? Email corrections@permitbystate.com with the URL and a short description of the issue (statute citation, fee figure, deadline, etc.). The more specific, the faster we can verify and fix.
How we evaluate corrections
- Factual error — wrong statute number, outdated fee, missed law change, broken citation. Always corrected.
- Ambiguity— a passage that’s technically correct but easy to misread. Usually rewritten for clarity.
- Opinion or framing — disagreement about emphasis or recommendation. Reviewed but not always changed.
- Style — typos, broken links, formatting. Fixed quietly without a log entry.
Response time
We commit to acknowledging every correction email within 7 days. Most factual fixes ship in the same window; complex ones (requiring a re-run of the source pipeline) may take up to two weeks.
